Being a workshop facilitator, I remember the very first spiritual content presentation
that I gave years ago. It was at the East / West Bookshop in Santa Cruz California. Prior
to the event, I did weeks of prep work, I had all my T’s crossed and I’s dotted, I had all
my reference cards for when I got stuck. I was very prepared, so I believed.
When I arrived at the place it was packed, there must have been over 100 people. I was a
bit nervous to say the least. As I prepared to go on stage, all of a sudden I realized that
my notes had all disappeared. They were nowhere to be found and my heart jumped a
fewbeats, let me tell you. At that very moment I knew that I had to surrender to divine
will. AsI walked towards the stage, I closed my eyes for a second and asked for help.
The amazing part of it all is that the night turned out to be a magical evening. I had so
much fun, being in the flow of whatever came through for me to share. I truly got to
experience the divine at work. The Manager of the place was pleased with my
presentation and invited me back. This was my introduction to getting out of the way
and allowing whatever wants to show up to do just that.
Funny enough, even with the amazing help that spirit has given to me, to this day I still
find myself continuing to try to be as prepared as much as possible. Not surprisingly, it
never seems to fail that no matter how much prep work I do, most of the time my notes
rarely ever get used.
When I show up at events, it seems as if each person in the group has already got
together in the ethereal realm with their spirit guides and collectively made an
agreement on which specific things they are wanting to share at the event. So funnily
enough, I usually have to wait until the very beginning of the workshop to truly know
what we are collectively going to work on.
My role is to hold the energy and to remain open for the total duration of the workshop
and to be very, very flexible… Its like driving a car across country, along the way there
are pot holes and speed bumps as well as traffic jams and at times we will have to take
alternative routes.
My faith in the work that I do is very strong, I have seen amazing results many, many
times and I hold the faith in the people that are attracted to my workshops. I believe
that by working together we will get there.
